where can I buy a cold ice cream mix for an ice cream machine close to sheffield?

Why bother? Ice cream mix is rubbish. Better to get a recipe and some fresh ingredients and make real ice cream.

There are thousands of recipes on the net and some of them are remarkably easy to make.

don’t in the ice cream makers use double cream and fruit and sugar etc. Have I got it wrong how they work?

You can get the an Ice Cream Mix at the department store “John Lewis” In the city centre of Sheffield opposite the city hall…. my girlfriend just told me and she is visiting from Sheffield!….

I’m going to have to 2nd the “why bother” comment! Ice cream is super easy to make, from fresh ingredients. Here’s one that doesn’t even take more work than with a mix. Try it?

Ice Cream – Eggless, Philadelphia Vanilla

1 cup whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Whisk all ingredients together. Chill. (At least 30 minutes, up to a couple of hours, to let the flavors really blend.)

Transfer to ice cream machine & freeze according to manufacturer’s instructions.
